In Northern Greece, in Ofrynion, just 200 meters from the sandy beach. Easily accessible from Thessaloniki Airport via the Via Egnatia highway in about 1 hour and 20 minutes, and only 46 minutes by car from Kavala Airport. The large Masoutis supermarket is approximately 2 km away, but there are several smaller supermarkets nearby. Along the beach, you will find numerous tavernas, cafés, and rental services for sunbeds and umbrellas.
The village also offers pharmacies, doctors, bakeries, and a fishmonger. Be sure to visit the weekly market in Ofrynion—it’s worth it! During the summer season, various water sports activities are available, including jet skiing, SUP, and kayaking.

The small Nefeli Apartment Complex offers its guests numerous amenities for a comfortable stay. Features include an ADSL internet connection as well as free Wi-Fi. Individually controlled air conditioning ensures pleasant temperatures. The apartments are furnished in a modern style and include fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes, a dining area with a table, a seating area, bedrooms with sofa beds, bathrooms with showers and toiletries, hairdryers, and mirrors.
For added convenience, there is an iron and ironing board, refrigerator, coffee facilities, a bottle of water upon arrival, a razor plug, and a writing desk. Safety features include smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, a first aid kit, and a fire exit.
The apartments also offer private balconies or terraces with chairs and tables, garden or mountain views, soundproof windows, and a veranda. Fully equipped loft apartment with two bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchenette on the first floor, plus an additional bedroom on the upper floor overlooking the living room, with its own bathroom (walk-in shower).
4. 2-Bedroom Duplex/Maisonette for 1–6 Guests with Large Garden Terrace, Optionally with Private Pool
Fully equipped semi-detached house with two bedrooms: on the ground floor there is one bedroom, a living room, a dining area, a bathroom, and a kitchen. The first floor features another bedroom with its own bathroom. The garden can be enjoyed in the outdoor area on the private large terrace.
The holiday apartments are ideal for guests who wish to cater for themselves. There are excellent shopping opportunities in the village and various tavernas located directly by the sea.
Important landmarks highlighting the historical significance of this area include the ancient Gymnasium and the Roman city “Macedonians First,” the Lion of Amphipolis – a monumental tomb likely erected in honor of a general – the wooden bridge, a unique ancient structure still preserved worldwide over the Strymonas River, the Early Christian Acropolis with church mosaics and column remains, and the Kasta Hill, a monumental tomb from the time of Alexander the Great (4th century BC) featuring impressive mosaics and sculptures.
Cultural highlights include the digital 3D center in Amphipolis, which offers virtual reconstructions of the city’s history from its founding through the Macedonian period to the Roman and Byzantine eras. Visitors can experience through animation how the city looked in the past and how archaeological excavations are conducted. Other attractions include the excavations of Philippi and the nearby cities of Drama, Serres, and Kavala. From Kavala, ferries run frequently in summer to the island of Thassos as well as the lesser-known islands of Limnos and Samothraki.
In terms of natural scenery, the coast of Amphipolis, known as Ofrynion, is particularly notable. It is popular far beyond Greece’s borders, especially among neighboring Balkan countries, due to its endless, gently sloping sandy beaches lined with numerous bars, cafés, and clubs. The nearby Chalkidiki peninsula and surrounding islands protect the large bay of Ofrynion, making the sea here appear like a vast lake with very little surf. The nearby islands can be easily visited on day trips from Kavala.

Pet fees: €25 per stay for dogs up to 35 kg. A baby cot can be provided for €10. The environmental fee is €8 per apartment per day.
