The public transportation in the South of Crete is not well developed. If you want explore Crete, a rental car on the south coast is a MUST. Hikers can use the ferry as a means of transport between the villages on the south coast. However, it does not pay off when you take the ferry. It is worth to rent a car, as the airport-transfer from the Airport Heraklion is the same price as one week rental car.

The small 3-star boutique hotel with 28 units is located on Crete's south coast right in the center of the coastal town of Agia Galini on a slope with a wonderful panoramic sea view. The place is built like an amphitheater on a slope, you must already be well on foot to reach the beach but you ´ll be indulged by the stunning views. The Hotel comes with a small terrace with small pool with sea views. A rental car is a MUST here, as everywhere on the quaint south coast of Crete to be flexible because the public transport network is not so well developed. About 800 m to the beach.
