Agia Marina is a coastal village in the municipality of Chania in western Crete. 10 km from the old town of Chania (15 minutes ´drive ) and 147 km from the Capital City Heraklion (2 hours drive). There are bus connection to Chania-Town and to Kastelli-Kissamos. A big shopping street with shops, taverns and clubs goes the length of the coastal road. It is popular with it´s sandy beach. There are watersportstation on the beach. We offer private airport-transfers and intermediate transfers for hotel-combinations.
In summer-time you can make a trip by pedal boat or canoe to the island "Agii Theodori", loctated in the oposite of the village Agia Marina. On this island you will see the remains of a Venetian fortress wall. Due to the proximity to the city, many urban people from Chania-town flee in summer and come here for bathing and snorkeling. If your children seak for giant slides and water parks, we recommend the "Limnoupolis" water park. A good half hour away by rental car. If you want to go to a quiet tavern by the sea, we recommend a trip to the quaint fishing village of Kolimbari, which is at the foot of the Rodopous peninsula 7 km westwards of Agia Marina. Here the tavern owners go for fishing themselves.
