10 days in Western Crete in Spilia/Kolimbari. 22 km, 25 minutes´ drive from Chania Town and 2 km from the coastal Village Kolimbari with a beautiful pebble beach. Guests appreciate the accessibility to the scenic nature reserves. The 4-Star-Traditional Guesthouse Spilia is a rebuilt historic building (olive-press converted in a Guesthouse) , followed by 4 days on the Santorini in Imerovigli known as "Balcony of the Aegean" because of the most spectacular sunsets. The village is set 346 m above sea level, built amphitheatrically around the Caldera. Your accommodation here "Andromeda Villas" is a Santorin-Highlight. If you don´t want to have a hire car we can arrange the transfers and the excursions for you. Spilia Village has a combination of plainness and comfort with traditional ambience.
The Country Hotel Spilia Village has a large air conditioned dining room. There is also a fireplace for cooler days. This 200 years old country house has been lovingly restored and renovated by the young owners. Two small buildings house 2 diverse units of accommodation. The main building houses the reception and a beautiful antique furnished communal-breakfast room with comfortable terrace in which to linger. The luscious garden has ancient sycamore trees, chairs and hammocks. The pool area next to the complex on a small bank offers a wonderful view of the mountain. Parking Place without Charge.

In Western Crete we offer the organised hiking tours through the Gorge Samaria and 2. Trough the Gorge Agia Irini. There is a water sport-provider at the beach from the seaside village Kolimbari. In Santorin:

The ferry crossing from Crete to the other greek Islands taking much time. Another important reason to prefer the flight connection is the "Meltemi Wind" in the summertime. The Meltemi wind was known by the old Greeks as the Etesian northern winds. The monsoonal effect during the summer that leads to a low pressure trough over Turkey. Etesian winds (Meltemi Winds) flow from a high pressure ridge over the Balkans toward the trough. During a strong Etesian, the trough may extend relatively far to the south and beyond Crete. However, not uncommonly it reaches sometimes over 8 Bft during the day, so ferrys have to wait till the End of the Meltemi winds. Sometimes it takes over two days, so it is difficult to organize island hopping packages with ferries, as there is no guarantee for the ferry-schedule. Therefore we decided to offer the packages with domestic flights.
